Won’t recognize mail account password. I’ve deleted mail account and re-added. Same issue.

iPhone email password not recognized My iPhone XS has been working just fine, and then overnight it won't retrieve email for one account. After checking for mail, it says that the account has an error: No password provided. In settings for the account it has the password populated with the same one that has been working all along, and still does on my MacBook Pro and online. There has been no update to my iPhone, or my mail server, or a change to my password. Why is this happening and how can I correct it?
