I bought this iphone form the previous owner but they still had their find my iphone on and i have no way to contact them about it.

There isn't. Apple won't unlock it for you, and any other service which claims it can is a scam; they'll either route all data to anf from it through their own servers, or just take your money.

You won't be able to use it. The activation lock is an anti-theft measure.

Yes I understand but since I've lost contact with the previous owner there must be a way where to take that off
