iMassage in WiFi only

Can I use the iMessage when I use the iPad WiFi? And the image uses a number or Apple ID?

iMessages when using Wi-Fi. My phone number all of a sudden cannot be used. On my iPad: It only allows my Apple ID or email to send iMessage. Even when I have access to Wi-Fi. This just started 3 days ago. My iOS devices used to synch messages. Now iPad, iPhone and MacBook don’t.

iMessages iMessages not coming through Mac from a number that was accidentally blocked on iPhone but is no longer blocked. iMessages from that number are now coming through iPhone and iPad but not on Mac. So, how can I fix this? TIA

1 = yes

2 = check Settings>Messages>Send&Receive
