Using findmy app

If i cant remember if i turned on “findmy” on the device that is missing is there a way to see that it is on or not ?

If you can see the device in the list in the find my devices


If it is in that list, either as offline, or not Find my was turned on.

Use the Find My app to locate a lost or stolen device - Apple Support

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support
