I Purchased a smart watch, not an Apple, which was working with my iPhone until I did my last update it now says this is an “illegal device please use Genuine”
And disconnect the device.
Could you please advise why Apple as stoped other smart watches from working with Apple

Apple has not stopped other devices from working with iPhones. However, it's possible that the app you're using to connect your watch to your iPhone needs updating. Check in the App Store. If there is no update, contact the developer.
