My new iPhone SE will not lock
I have a new iPhone SE and it will not lock, even when I hit the lock button on the side.

Wake and unlock iPhone - Apple Support
Do you have any kind of case on the iPhone? If so, please remove the case and test it again. We just want to rule out any interference regarding the side button.
