Wrong Years in iCloud Photos

After adding photos from 2017-2018 from the phone into shared albums in iCloud, the years of photos were changed to 2019. Anyone knows what’s wrong? Anything to do with the recent update? This was never happened before.

How to fix it? Thanks!

Which system version is installed on your iPhone? If you have not done so, you may want to upgrade the iPhone to the most recent version. The metadata for shared photos seem to be somewhat more stable on iOS 14 than in the earlier versions.

The problem is, that shared albums are just sharing a downsized, new copy of the image file, and Apple does not guarantee, that the original dates, titles, and metadata will be transferred. You share just the image, not its data. It says so in the footnote of this document: How to share albums in Photos on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac - Apple Support

"Shared Albums upload a copy of your data. Downloaded content may not contain the same information as the original."

It is safer to add all important data as a comment on your photo, when you share it.

Use a different sharing method. If it is important for you to save the original quality and the metadata, for example by sharing an iCloud link the files in your iCloud Photos Library. Share photos and videos on iCloud.com - Apple Support
