sorted, delete all connections on the headphone (by holding to right for 10 seconds) and then turn off then on and reconnect

Bluetooth connects then disconnects immediately My MacBook Pro (early 2014) doesn't connect to my Bose Bluetooth speaker after APple's most recent upgrade. Bose MicroLink connects then disconnects within five seconds. It's ok with a jack plug and outboard bluetooth adaptor so it must be the MacBook Pro. I've switched off and rebooted, done the SMC reset (Shift-Control-Option-power on then power on) but still no results. I've also checked "System Preferences - Sound - Output" but it only shows internal speakers as an option - no Bluetooth option
