Student Back to school promotion 2021

Why does Apple only have a back to school 2021 offer of free AirPods for Australia students and not U.S. customers. Was just on the au site and saw this and thought it wasn’t a bit fair.

Because in Australia they are going back to school after their summer vacation.

There is usually a back to school promotion after the US summer vacation also.
