When you encounter an audio file in Pages, click once on the audio to select it and then click the Audio tab in the sidebar. The audio filename is beneath the words File Info, and this is a draggable item, either certainly to your Desktop, and I just dragged and dropped it from a Pages document into a new Apple Mail document as an attachment.
