Group texts

Can I hide the alerts from a particular group text without the group knowing I’ve hidden them? 😬 or will they get a notification that I have turned on hide alerts?

How to turn off hide alerts I am in a group chat with my cousins and they usually send like over 100 messages a day, so I turned on the hide alerts. They should not see that you have hidden alerts.
