No. I did not contact Apple Support. I received a phone call telling me my Apple ID was compromised and that I should not do any online banking until they resolve the issue. I hung up on the caller. Within a minute of hanging up I received the text message that I asked about.
Apple will never call you unless you called them and asked for a call back. Since the call was a fake, text is probably fake as well.
No, I doubt it, but did you specifically contact Apple Support using any official support links?
