How to connect your AirPods without button

You don't need a button to connect AirPods.

Here is how you can connect them.

1. Go to the screen on the home page on your iPhone.
2. Open the case and hold it next to your iPhone, with the AirPods inside.
3. On your iPhone, a setup animation appears.
4. Click Connect.

What “button” might you mean?

An iPhone X does not have a home button. A home button is not required.
