why does my macbook pro keep locking itself out when I'm using it?

I'll be listening to music or something, and if I walk away for a certain length of time, it locks me out and exits my windows. Does anyone know why? It just started doing this a few weeks ago. I have El Capitan, but have had it for awhile. Do you think there is something wrong with my computer? Could a failing battery cause this? Thank you!!!

Macbook Timoing out / Screen going to screensaver or just black randomly Hi, my new Macbook seems to time out constantly while I'm using it.
