Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
We got our son a new iPhone and his little sister got the old family iPhone. We want her to be able to use this old iPhone 7 to talk and text friends from home on WiFi. But it is not working. What could cause that?

wifi will allow Apple's iMessages, but not carrier SMS/MMS messages. Which means no texts to non Apple devices. She'll need a carrier data plan for that.

Have you tried to reset the Network Settings, inside Settings menu?
Try it but first, take out hte SIM Card (if the device has one inside).
If you still get this error, come back here get additional help ok?!
