Apple Watch software update
After restarting my watch I got past the stuck on verifying, I got an error message stating "Unable to Check for Update". Trying again did not work. Any ideas?

You could try putting the Watch on its charger and then going into the ‘Watch’ App and seeing if you could check for an update in My Watch->General->Software Update.
If that doesn’t work you could repair your Watch with your iPhone
