Why don't Apple Stores in Turkey stock English Keyboards?
Turkey is home to tens of thousands of Brits and Americans— there's even a massive US military base in Adana. Despite this, the Apple Stores in Turkey do not stock English keyboards; the keyboard choices are between Turkish, German and Arabic.
I've requested an English keyboard at two separate Apple Stores, and I was twice told that this was "impossible." I've called customer service and recieved the same answer. Sadly, the only way to get an English keyboard is to physically leave Turkey and buy it abroad.
Another problem with not having any English keyboards in stock is that repairs take several weeks as opposed to a few days. This means I cannot benefit from the Apple recall on my Macbook pro's keyboard unless I hand over my computer for "at least a month." When I asked why I should wait over a month for a simple keyboard replacement, I was told that the English keyboard had to be snail mailed in from outside of Turkey and clear customs. I hope they fix this.
