Hi hidde192,

If you're ok with completely erasing your MacBook Pro M1, you can do that to allow macOS Big Sur to install.

  1. Shut down your MacBook Pro M1.
  2. Press and hold down the power button (Touch ID) until your Mac loads Startup Options.
  3. Select Options, then click Continue to launch Recovery Mode.
  4. If you're asked for an administrator password, skip to step 7.
  5. At the top of the screen, select Utilities -> Terminal.
  6. Type "resetpassword" without the quotes and hit Enter (Return).
  7. At the top of the screen, select Recovery Assistant -> Erase Mac, then follow the onscreen instructions.
  8. Try reinstalling macOS.
