There are ways to tell, if you are owner & Apple ID is related to that MacBook.

One of the site links, like this, requires you to login with your Apple ID:

https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do

This may be the same; probably have to enter Apple ID, here too:

https://checkcoverage.apple.com/

Kinda obvious thing; may be try & contact Apple support directly.

These support communities cannot answer these type questions.

• Get Support - Apple

https://getsupport.apple.com/

Above is for support &/or service.

• Find the model and serial number of your Mac - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201581

If you can ultimately 'contact a human' at official Apple, they can help.

The general page for contacting Apple, which includes information on

sales/service product inquiries.

Maybe useful https://locate.apple.com/ https://locate.apple.com/country
