Thank you very much for taking your time to reply! I Actually I found out exactly what it was, I use a multi power block that sits next to the couch and has 8 ac outlets and 6 usb charging outlets. For some reason “probably no filtration” when plugged directly into the usb to charge the devices the iPads will do very weird things like type letters, open apps, etc. but if I use an apple block to plug into the outlet side they act normal. This just started happening after the last apple update so I’m not sure if Apple is checking to make sure you are using their charging product or if it’s just a wave filtration issue or the voltage coming out is incorrect. So if anyone is having this issue change out your charging device!

Hello Cdhoman,
It sounds as though you're having issues with two different iPad's typing unexpectedly. To clarify a bit further do you notice if this is happening in one specific app, or all apps and functions? If this is happen in all applications do you have a screen protector or protective case on the device? If so, does the issue persists with those removed? If not, the issue may be relate to the screen protector or case. If the issue continues with those remove test without any accessories such as a charger or headset connected.
If the issue continues from there, and across all apps you may want to contact Apple via the Get Support website.
Take care!
Hi Cdhoman,
We're glad you were able to isolate the issue to using the third-party charging block. This helps isolate the issue to not being hardware or software related to the iPad. With the issue only happening with this charging block it would be recommended to reach out to the manufacturer for additional support.
Have a wonderful week!
