I’ve updated two iPad 5th gen to 14.4. I just noticed the mic does not work with FaceTime. FaceTime will work with external mic. Mic will work with other apps: memo, Zoom, camera. Is this an iOS bug?

The settings for the Internal microphone to be accessed by apps is in the Privacy settings,under Microphone, in the Settings app in iPadOS 14.
Just check there please!
In Settings app, in the Privacy Settings, under Microphone, check to see which apps are toggled on in green.
Check the apps that you are having microphone issue with and make sure the microphone is toggled ON, in green, for these problem apps.

Try a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.

A simple hard ( or soft ) reset, resets low level code of iOS/iPadOS.
It does not affect anything installed on your iPad.

The issue is with the internal mic and FaceTime. All other apps work with the internal mic. This is not a settings issue. I even tried resets the device and it did not fix the issue.
I did. It was one of the first things I looked at. There are no setting in privacy/microphone for FaceTime, as FaceTime is a native app. Please read my post! All other apps work. It is just FaceTime.
I already did an iOS reset, and it did not fix the issue. What will a hard reset do?
