Speaker option now shows choices

I do not understand what changed with my iPhone X. When I press the speaker, now it shows three options, one of which is my iPad. I don’t know why I have to choose when I’m using my iPhone. My AirPods work fine and it recognizes them immediately. How can I turn off these options when I want to press speaker on my phone. It’s so annoying! And it just came out of the blue!

Hiya Rixer,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community. It sounds like you’re wanting to know how to disable the appearance of those other outputs as options on your iPhone. We can help.

It's possible that those other devices are set as options for Calls on Other Devices on your iPhone. You check that by tapping on Settings > Phone > Calls on Other Devices. If the other devices are listed there, toggle that option off and that should stop it from appearing when you're on calls.

You can find more info about that here: Make and receive calls on your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch

Take care.
