How do I get the download of Rosetta Stone to work on a Mac with the Update that was sent for Catalina?

I recieved a gift of Rosetta Stone from my niece. Had a flood, lost the password for that Pc. Loaded Rosetta using my activation code to my MAC, it wouldn't work. Adobe dropped flash player and contacted Rosetta Stone -- downloaded the MAC version, still needed a patch so it would work with Catalina. Chatted with Rosetta and they sent the patch. It opens on the web instead of in the software I downloaded. Does anyone here know whether Rosetta Stone and the Catalina patch can be used with the software 'offline' in the downloaded product? I'm really not fond of working on line for this kind of application -- would rather work off line -- but not sure if that is possible. If anyone knows how to make it work correctly on the downloaded Rosetta Stone application, I would appreciate the help. Thanks!
