Verify identity

Why is my apple pay randomly asking me to verify my identity then not accepting it once I do attempt to, when I have been using it daily with no problems until earlier. ????

You must be at least 18 and a US citizen. Also large transfers can require ID verification. This link has all the available information - Identity verification for Apple Card or Apple Cash - Apple Support
