in-app purchases in Pokemon Go doesn't work

I have been stuck for a few days now being unable to make a in-app purchases in Pokemon Go, I checked my credit card and there is nothing wrong there. And I have not changed phones or setting either so I have no idea why this is happening. Was there a recent update that broke this?
