Stolen IPhone, Forgot Apple ID Password

Hey folks, I have a huge problem.

my IPhone was stolen and I can’t remember the password for my Apple ID.


I bought a new Ipjone but need to restore all my data it’s extremely important to get my business contacts back. But If I try to reset password it sends a code to my old phone :(


I had no other authentication setup!


what can I do??


Please help!

Hi there aroopgill,


Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like your iPhone was stolen and you do not know your password. If your new iPhone is using the same phone number, you should be able to authenticate using your new phone. Otherwise, do you have any other trusted devices on your Apple ID? If you do, you can use one of your other devices to complete verifications. Learn how here: Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication.


If none of those applies to you, you can still use account recovery to regain access to your Apple ID. See how to use account recovery here: How to use account recovery when you can’t reset your Apple ID password.

The Recovery Process is an automated process and the length of time it takes can vary a lot. Apple ID Support can only answer your questions. They can't intervene in or speed up the process. The article below has some suggestions to shorten the the time the process takes.
