I moved my number to an iPhone 12, and would like to give my daughter my iPhone X. Do I do a full erase before we change SIM cards, or after? Thank you

Do this first What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support and then move sim card over.
