DNS Resolution Failure
My Macbook Pro is causing massive issues with my home Wi-Fi connectivity since this morning. When my laptop is off, or not connected to my Wi-Fi, all of my other devices work perfectly fine and have great internet speed. But as soon as I connect my Macbook to the Wi-Fi, the internet completely stops working on all devices, including the Macbook. It's like it's sucking up all of the Wi-Fi and nothing works.
I've ran the diagnostics and got "DNS Resolution Failure".
Here's what I've already tried:
- Turning Wi-Fi on & off on my Macbook.
- "Forgetting" my home Wi-Fi and reconnecting.
- Resetting my router (which is right next to my laptop, by the way).
- Changing my DNS settings to OpenDNS or GoogleDNS.
- Deleting all of my preferred networks and reconnecting to my home network.
- Connecting to the 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz versions of my network — both have the same issue.
- Flushing my DNS cache by entering sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder; sleep 2; into Terminal.
Nothing worked. I don't know what else to do and I'm desperate to fix this as I'm working from home! I'm not very tech savvy, I've just done what other forums have suggested but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
