Use of Encryption Protocols:
Likely, you are not using an encrypted connection. Use WPA3 for the security-type. If you have much older devices, then WPA2 may be the way to go about this. These are encryption protocols. WPA2 has become insecure, having become most recently hack-able. So, look at the manual of your modem/router, viewing how to use WPA3. If it is of no option, then upgrade to a router that has this option.
