Can I transfer WhatsApp messages from android to ios?

I have just made the transition to iOS, having used android for a long time. Does anybody know if it is possible to transfer my WhatsApp message history across to my iPhone 12?

You can't. On Android, WhatsApp, chat history is not stored on iCloud, on iOS it is.

That isn't possible without third party softwares. Warning! ; WhatsApp data through third party software has the risk of data being compromised. Because the data will be churned through third party servers, which may or may not be encrypted. Be judicious while selecting the software and taking this call.

Thanks. That's what I thought and I am also very conscious about data privacy. I think I'll just have to start again and I'll probably have forgotten about this as a problem in a few months anyway. I still have the photos and videos stored.
