MacOS - Google Meet Issue

I use classroom and google meet daily for education and recently my M1 MacBook Pro has started acting weirdly when I'm in meetings. If anyone leaves or joins the meet, it will kick me and display the message "Couldn't start the video call because of an error." I have no idea how to fix this, is anyone else having this issue? As of right now I have to join from my iPhone/iPad as this doesn't occur there.

Thanks!

Hello heymaximilian,

We understand that you're having issues using Google Meet on your MacBook. To clarify, are you using an app or hosting your meetings through a web browser? If using an app, have you made sure it's up to date or tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?

Also, there are several articles you may want to check out on the Google Meet Help pages. We've listed them below:

We hope this information helps!
