How Do I Connect My Printer To New iMac Through My Router

Hi,
Just bought my first Mac (iMac 27") and it's awesome! But can't get printers to work!!

My printers (Samsung CLP-310 color lazer and Canon LBP 3000) are connected to my wireless router which is an ASUS RT-N16. The router has 2 USB connections to add hard drives or printers to share among laptops around the house. I have 2 windows laptops and a PC Media Centre which connects wirelessly to the printers no worries.

My iMac sits beside the router in the office and I have it hard wired to the router for internet. I could just have it go wirelessly to the router but the internet connection is twice as fast if connected to the ethernet port.

I downloaded installed the drivers for 10.6, with great difficulty as I am windows trained and when I go to Add Printer I select IP, then I put the IP address of the printer and follow the rest with no luck.

Can someone lead me in the right direction? I am sure there something simple I am overlooking here.

Cheers

Had a try and no luck.

Connected through USB no problem worked fine.

But I don't want to swap USB cables each time I want to print on the mac.

I build PC's and know what I am doing most of the time installing stuff but this has me stumped.
I have tried every configuration possible.

I hate to say it but I will pay the Mac guy from the shop to have a go and if he gets it I will post the results to help anyone in the same boat.

Many thanks to Dave & Will for their reply's good work cheers.
