Apple IMAP Mail is not deleting emails on the server when deleted on device

Yes, deleting an email on the webmail removed it from my iMac ( almost instantly) but not from my iPhone. Deleting email from my iMac does still does not remove from the server, deleting emails from my iPhone does not remove them from the server.

Ok, now my webmail has dropped to 1965 emails...and my Apple mail is 1965. Activity window seems to indicate that 1 email is "stubble" in copying and 3 are "stuck" in moving.

Deleting emails on web instantly remove them on Apple mail, but removing emails on Apple mail is not removing them on web within a time frame that I can see...

No pop accounts, I will give rebuild a shot.

Neither Rebuild nor Safe Mode are resulting in an email being deleted on Apple Mail being removed from the server (RCN.com)

not sure what is wrong....other than I have 27,780 emails on the server....

wait...my phone is set to Delete from server....Never

well that wasn't the problem....changed it to remove from server when removed from inbox...but that didn't work

running out of ideas...

in fact, now my Apple mail is reloading all of the emails from the server into my inbox....its at 11,677

I will wait till its done, and see what happens then when I delete...
