Apple earbuds causing internet connection problems

I got the latest apple earbuds and when I try to connect them to iPhone 12 it creates internet connection problems. FaceTime, Houseparty and Spotify will not work if I’m using the earbuds. The iPhone also freezes and I’ve had to completely power down. I’ve tried turning off WiFi and only use cellular and I’m getting the same internet interference problem. Anyone else having this issue and know how to fix it?
