Movie rental

I rented a movie on the Apple TV app this morning on my Samsungtv and I began to watch it. I had to leave the house so I had to turn it off. When I got back home about 4 hours later the movie was not available to watch anymore. It wanted me to pay to rent it again! It said when I rented it that I would have 48 hours to watch it once I started it. Why is it making me pay again if I just rented it this morning?

You should indeed have 48 hours to view your rental. Rent movies from the Apple TV app - Apple Support

Rentals should be listed in the Library tab during the rental period, and be playable from there. Try that.

Or report it as a problem with your purchase.
