Imported a photo won’t stop. Cant close IPhoto.

I am importing a photo to iPhoto. Keeps running. Stop import does not work and can’t close IPhoto.

Use the Force Quit command:

Apple Menu -> Force Quit.

iPhoto to Photo app transfer issues Hi there! I'm having some issues. I opened photos while holding down the option key and selected my iPhotos albums as others with my problem were instructed to do. The photos transferred and everything appeared to be fine. I then reopened my photos app and now there's nothing there. I attempted to open the photos app again while holding down the option key to repeat the process but now it just directly opens the photos app. Can anyone help me??

Photo iPhotos froze up while I was moving photos to a new album. It asked me if I wanted to import a photo that was a duplicate, when I attempted to answer telling it not to duplicate my iPhoto program froze up. I am not able to close iPhoto.
