I'm trying to find a way to charge my MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015) other than my standard 45 watt MagSafe 2 power adapter that has to plug into a regular 110v electrical outlet. Is there a way to do this?
I thought I'd answer my own question because I just found the answer.
Since my MacBook Air is charged with my 45 watt MagSafe 2 power adapter which needs a 110volt electrical outlet and I wanted to find a way to charge it when I have no electrical power. Well the way to do this is to buy a 300watt or 500watt, portable pure sine wave car inverter. You simply plug this inverter into a standard car 12V cigarette lighter plug, and now the inverter will supply 2 - 110V outlets and 2 - USB outlets. Bingo from the car battery. I bought a 500watt version for $60. This is the answer.
