iWatch and iPhone alarm not syncing

My iPhone alarms are NOT syncing to my apple watch. I followed the directions on the apple website exactly, and this is still not working. I have an iPhone 12 and an Apple Watch Series 6. My iPhone and Apple Watch are up to date, and I've reset both devices numerous times. Nothing works.

Why are my iPhone alarms not syncing to my apple watch so that I can dismiss the alarm using my apple watch???
