Problem Logging Into iPad

My ipad is asking for a 4-digit sign in pin. I am used to signing in with a 6-digit pin. Why is this happening and how do I log in?

If you are only aware of a 4-digit passcode and the device is asking for 6-digit passcode, then you are going to have to restore the device to remove that passcode. See the instructions here, If you forgot the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled - Apple Support

Actually, it is the opposite. I have been entering a 6-digit pin but now it wants a 4-digit pin. I purchased this iPad in 2020 and recently had an IOS update. I guessing somehow my 6-digit pin was reset automatically.

I cannot call Apple for support and can only ask for help through this Community.

Any ideas?

The same thing I showed you. You will still need to restore the device to be able to remove the existing passcode.
