microphone button is there but it’s greyed out and doesn’t work
i tried restarting my phone and i checked my settings but nothing works

its not specific whatever i use the keyboard in the microphone doesn’t work

Then please check this support document for help. If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working - Apple Support

Go to Settings>General>Keyboards>Enable Dictation. Make sure that is turned on.
Then check Settings>Privacy>Microphone if you are attempting to use an app other than a native Apple app to give the microphone permission.
You don't mention what you were trying to do, just providing a small cropped photo of a keyboard. What are you trying to do there?
thats about the microphone hardware but im talking about the microphone button on my keyboard (sorry if im sounding rude)
Dictation also requires that Siri be turned on, is it?
yeah siri works fine
Then I suggest that you contact Apple Support. Use the Contact Support link at the top of the page here to contact them and arrange for them to check the device.
