Try a New App Password:

Do you use an App Password? If so, then it may have expired, and, as a result, you would need to use a new one. So, create a new App Password, and then use it for the account to Mail. Contact your eMail provider, if you are uncertain as to how to create an App Password.

Have you tried deleting the account, restarting the device, and then adding the account back?
