Safari consistently shows the wrong Favicon for NYTimes
Hi there,
I'm having the strangest issue (small one but it's driving me crazy) where my Safari always shows the wrong favicon for NYTimes.com on the tab. What makes this extra strange is that in my Favorites on Safari Start Page the correct favicon is displayed. And when I go inside the Favicon Cache I see clearly that the saved Favicon for NYTimes is the correct one, yet still, on the tab itself I get the tiny yellow bee icon (which I actually recognize to be the spelling bee game by NYTimes, but it shows up as the favicon on every single article) and page.
I'm on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)
OS Big Sur V. 11.2.1
Safari Version 14.0.3 (16610.4.3.1.4)
I deleted my entire favicon cache and refreshed NYTimes so it's the only favicon saved in the cache in order to make absolute certain, and here you can see the result side by side:
