MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) latest OS?

I have a macbook that I am happy with but was wondering if my machine can be upgraded to OS above 10.13 (Currently running High Sierra). I was thinking of Catalina and not Sur.

Sorry, your MacBook/Pro cannot go back in time to when it was young..

that's last and latest macOS, where you are now with High Sierra 10.13.6.

It can't be upgraded past High Sierra.

As was explained, you cannot run any version of macOS beyond High Sierra. You can't upgrade.

Ahh, I am actually planning to upgrade the OS from Sierra to Newer version (Catalina possibly), Not to go back to previous version.

I am just not sure if it is possible or advisable to upgrade to Catalina OS10.15 with my hardware:

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5

16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Ram.
