This doesn't seem to help. When I click in the header row, and press flag, the flag does not appear in a column next to the email. This is what used to happen, then with the recent upgrade, I have not been able to get the flag next to the email
Hello anita293,
Thanks for following up with us. We understand that the flag doesn't show up on the header of your flagged emails, and we'd be happy to help.
To get started, let's force quit the Mail application. Choose Apple menu > Force Quit, select the Mail app in the dialog that appears, then click Force Quit. You may lose unsaved changes. Then open it again, and test.
If that didn't help, let's try to restart your Mac by choosing Apple menu > Restart.
If the issue persists, check for updates to your software. Before updating, make sure you have a recent backup of your data:
If the behavior persists or you run into any trouble, please reach out again. Cheers!
Same problem, but Luis Sequeira mentioned in another post that if you control click on the header row, a list of view options appears, one of which is "flag"; click on it and the red flag appears next to your flagged emails. You need to use column view for this to work.

anita293,
I'm sorry it didn't help. All I can suggest is to be sure a drop down menu appeared, with one of the items shown as "Flags". That's the one to click. also, be sure you are in column mode. If that still doesn't help, I don't know what else to suggest.
This is not helpful I cannot get the flag to show on the header of the message when i am looking at my email list
thanks for your help. i am in column mode and "flags" is in the header and I can use that. I just can't get the flag to appear next to the email.
