Switching to AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss before my existing AppleCare+ coverage expires in 5 months?

I paid upfront for AppleCare+ on my iPhone XR. Can I upgrade or switch to AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss before my existing AppleCare+ coverage expires in 5 months?

Call Apple and ask. I don't think you can add coverage to an existing plan.
