Apple CarPlay GPS not giving correct location

When using CarPlay in my 2020 Sentra with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, the GPS location while navigating with maps gives very delayed location. For example, if I am approaching an on-ramp or off-ramp, it will not give me the directions I need in time due to the location being inaccurate.

I have done troubleshooting, and the navigation works fine when it is not plugged into CarPlay, and the CarPlay navigation also works fine when using my mom’s iPhone 11.

My 12 Pro Max is running the latest iOS and has been restarted

Have you tried without using CarPlay?

Are you using anything other than Apple Maps?

Have you tried downloading the route on Apple Maps for offline usage?
