Apple TV APP settings help not in user guide

why do tv shows or films default to the befinning and not where you left off watching, hiw do I manage that setting? thanks

Hi, I am using my Apple iPad so only accessing via the app not a physical Apple TV box device. No matter what I view when I come back to watch all programs or films do not resume from when last watched but default to the beginning.

On what device is this happening?

For me, resuming where I left off last is the default, with (re-)starting from the beginning as option. Not sure what is different in your situation.

Verify that “Use Play History” is activated in Settings﹥TV﹥.
