Can I force my Macbook Air to down load an app I use on my iphone ?

I have only just got my M1 Macbook Air, I thought before hand I would be able to use the same apps i use on my iPhone, but I cant even down load them from the appstore. Is there a way I can do this.

Not all iPhone/iPad apps are compatible with the M1.

Some are, but many are not and the nature of some

of the apps simply are not compatible for example. any app

requiring GPS.

Those apps that are not compatible will require the vendors to

make adjustments to their code.
