Screen Burn in

Hello, I have a 6th generation iPad. I replaced it with an out of warranty replacement. It's been a week since I have been and I noticed something that might be a problem. When an image is not too bright and stops for 5 minutes, it creates a screen burn. These pass quickly. Do you think this is a problem? I don't remember experiencing this on my previous device.

ahmedemreo,

Thanks for those details.

Next, create a current backup of your device: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Once you have a current backup, restore your iPhone to factory settings with a computer. This process will download and install a fresh copy of the operating system onto the device for you. Here’s how: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

After you’ve restored your iPhone, set it up as a new device, and test it out before restoring from a backup: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Thanks!

Hey there ahmedemreo,

We understand you're seeing some burn in to the screen on your iPad, and we'd like to see if we can assist.

Do you notice this only with specific apps? If so, give the steps here a try: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

While the title doesn't specifically mention this issue, the steps may help resolve it.

Alternatively, if you notice this with every app that has an image on the display, restart your iPad, and test again.

Cheers!
