bluetooth connexion iPhone 12 mini

My new iPhone 12 mini cannot establish bluetooth connexion to my other devices, e.g. my hearing aid.

I have unsuccessfully tried to reboot and reset bluetooth settings on the iPhone. I had no such problems with my former iPhone 8.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for answering my request for help. The problem, which was caused by a software problem in my 12 mini, has been solved by following this advice:

Reset All Settings: All settings—including network settings, the keyboard dictionary, the Home screen layout, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay cards—are removed or reset to their defaults. No data or media are deleted.

  1. Reset All Settings: Return iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support:- Return iPhone settings to their defaults
  2. You can return settings to their defaults without erasing your content.
  3. If you want to save your settings, back up the iPhone before returning them to their defaults. For example, if you’re trying to solve a problem but returning settings to their defaults doesn’t help, you might want to restore your previous settings from a backup.

Hi there Erik,

We understand you're having some trouble pairing your existing Bluetooth devices with your new iPhone, and we'll be happy to help.

Are you still in possession of your iPhone 8? If so, try removing the device from Bluetooth settings there, then attempt setting it up on your new iPhone again. The "Unpair a Bluetooth accessory" section of the following page explains how: Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If there's no change, or you no longer have your previous iPhone, consultant the documentation that came with the device, or contact the manufacturer to see whether there's a reset process. After resetting, attempt to pair the device again.

Additional information about pairing this specific type of device can be found here: Use Made for iPhone hearing devices

We hope this helps!
